Jazz Compass congratulates Bill Cunliffe for his 2010 Grammy Award: Best Arrangement for Large Ensemble – "West Side Story" from The Resonance Big Band Plays Tribute to Oscar Peterson.
Way to go Bill!

Joe La Barbera was in Andy Waterman's studio in Chatsworth the morning after his quintet played a couple great sets at Charlie O's in Van Nuys. Play it, record it, mix it, press it – get it into our hands. We can't wait to hear the final tracks!

Clay Jenkins is digging the sound of a track he and the band just laid down. On hand for Clay's new CD are Kim Richmond, Larry Koonse, Tom Warrington, Joe La Barbera and Talley Sherwood. New music in a new studio. Very cool stuff.
